THE THEATRICAL ORGANISATION ‘STIGMI’ (‘MOMENT’)
«STIGMI» was founded on the 26th of September 1995, by: Actresses Zaharoula Ikonomou and Maria Tsima, composer Sotiris Debonos, and actor and director Yannis Anastasakis.
The organization’s objective is the creation of theatrical performances of new plays, presented for the first time in Greece, the theme and plot of which have an immediate impact on the public.
The company made its first appearance during the spring of 1996.

Theatrical composition based on J. Giraudoux’s play «Odin». The performance included the presentation of the play «Acrobats», by Israel Horowitz, and the poetic play «Chansons Malaises» («Malaisian Songs»), written by Ivan Goll.

The performance participated in the Festival “Ermoupolia” 2004 (Syros – Theatre Apollon) and in the 39th Festival “Dimitria” (Thessaloniki – Theater Aneton). It also represented Greece in the International Festival SKAMPA 2004 (Elbassan, Albania, October).
The performance of the play «Fever» (2000) was directed by Viki Georgiadou.
All the other plays were directed by Yannis Anastasakis.
The video of the play «The fairy-tale of love» (2000) was directed by Kyriakos Hatzimihailidis and it won an award at the contest of ‘Media desk’ (2001).
The 16mm film, that was part of the performance «Snow» (1998), as well as the video that was projected during the performance of the play «Urakas, a journey across the ocean» (2001) was directed by Yannis Leontaris.
The dolls for the performance «Love for seven dolls» (2002) were made by Takis Sarris, who also taught the actor Dimitris Kanellos the art of puppet-theatre.
“STIGMI” is subsidized (for the last six years) by the Ministry of Culture and, in its productions, it has co-operated with the Goethe German Institute, the Embassy of Denmark and the Cervantes Spanish Institute.
